ZP screw/worm conveyor is suitable for transporting biomass, being wood waste, such as sawdust, shredded bark or shavings. Our company is able to provide both horizontal and skew conveyors. Set of conveyors can be prepared for manual feeding or adjusted to receive the fuel from a fuel tank. Generally, it is used to feed sawdust into the AZSD furnace buffer tank or ZGH heating system.

Control, construction and technical data

Controlling conveyors assembly (AZT) is based on sawdust presence detectors. In case of conveyors assembly with sawdust feeder, the feeding process is fully automated.

Construction options:

  • AZT control system, automatic sawdust loading
  • basket for manual loading
  • basket for loading from feeding device
  • transfer unit, e.g. from skew onto horizontal conveyor, horizontal onto horizontal, etc.

 

The feeding process is conducted in such manner, so as to provide proper fuel level in buffer tanks of sawdust combustion devices. Selecting device (e.g. sawdust selector), feeding conveyors and transfer elements are subject to control. The system can be operated both in automatic and manual mode by turning on particular controllable elements.

In case of conveyor with manual loading hopper, the device is controlled by manual starting of the conveyor, which automatically stops as soon as adequate sawdust level is reached in the buffer tank of the combustion device.

Conveyors' structure is of bent/welded type, and protected against corrosion with enamel. Conveyors are generally made up of flexible U-shaped housing with bolted covers. Inside the housing, there is prop shaft driven by a gearmotor.

Drive from the gearmotor onto the shaft is transmitted by overload clutch. The other end of the shaft is based on a bearing assembly. The prop shaft is made of spiral segments.
